The "CrossTrainers" children’s ministry at the Broadway church is committed to children and their spiritual development.  Our aim is to supplement the family’s attempt to lay down a spiritual foundation that will lead a child to Christ and to obey God.  We plan activities and Bible classes with this goal in mind.

Our departments are configured like this:

Nursery -- birth - 2 years

Beginners -- 2 & 3 year-olds

Preschool -- 4 year-olds

King's Kid's Clubhouse -- Kindergarten & 1st grade

Bible Discovery Zone -- 2nd & 3rd grades

His Majesty's Theater -- 4th grade

The Rock Cafe -- 5th & 6th grades

In each department we strive to use the best curriculum available.  We strive to make our classes focused on the Bible, interactive, age appropriate, and fun to be in.

1st TOOLS is a children's Bible hour for 2 and 3-year- olds which meets in the Preschool Department.  A short Bible lesson is taught, as well as time to explore and play.  Children can either be brought directly to 1st TOOLS before service begins, or at the time the children are dismissed from worship.  They will be taken to their Bible classes at the end of worship time.

FAITH FACTORY is a children's Bible hour for 4-year-olds through 2nd graders which meets in the Faith Factory.  Bible stories, puppet skits, games, and lots of singing take place in the Faith Factory.  The children make crafts, re-enact the Bible stories, and spend time in worship they can understand and participate in.  These children are dismissed from adult worship at an appropriate time and will be delivered to their Bible classes.

This year the focus of Leadership Training for Christ will be "Lost and Found," a study of Luke.  The convention will take place on March 25-26.  Information regarding registration and various events can be found on the bulletin board in the north hallway.  

Vacation Bible School was a huge success as we visited Lava Lava Island, where God's love flows.  Plans are now underway for VBS 2005.  The tentative dates are June 6-10.  Mark your calendars!

Our first annual Children's Summer Musical Camp was loads of fun!  We learned so much about the life of Moses and how God cares for His people.  Be watching for details about this summer's camp!
