Broadway's Elders
Each one of the
Broadway elders are committed to the following pledge: "I pledge to fulfill, to the
very best of my ability, the biblically mandated responsibilities of serving as a shepherd
of God's people. I commit myself to serve this flock actively and faithfully and I pledge
to live an exemplary life patterned after the life of Jesus, and I agree to assume this
role under Jesus as the Supreme Shepherd and under His Father, Almighty God."
The elders’ desire to shepherd this church family is
actualized as they serve this Body. They are always eager to counsel, encourage, and pray
with and for any member of this flock. They passionately love God; such a passion compels
them to love God’s people.
Normally the elders meet on the first and
third Sunday
afternoons of each month in the Broadway library. Starting times vary, but the chairman
(see below) can be contacted for those times. The chairman is also the one to contact if
you have a special concern that you would like to bring before the entire
eldership.
Each year the elders select five of their members to serve
on The Administrative Team. This team meets with staff each week to facilitate the
coordination of the many efforts and activities of the Broadway church family. This team
is made up of the chairman, vice chairman, secretary, and two at-large members.
