Praise"
readings
which accompanied praise songs and testimonies of praise
Praise
God for Who God Is
Psalm
21:13
Be
exalted, O Lord, in your
strength!
We will sing and praise your power.
Psalm
29:1-2
Give honor to the Lord,
you angels;
give honor to the Lord for his glory and strength.
Give honor to the Lord
for the glory of his name.
Worship the Lord
in the splendor of his holiness.
Psalm
36:5-6
Your steadfast love, O Lord,
extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your judgments are like the great deep;
Psalm
48:9
We ponder your steadfast love, O God,
in the midst of your temple.
Psalm
57:9-10
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds.
Psalm
63:1a, 2-3
O God, you are my God; .
. . .
I have seen you in your
sanctuary
and
gazed upon your power and glory.
Your
unfailing love is better to me than life itself;
how
I praise you!
Psalm
68:32, 34-35
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth;
sing praises to the Lord,
Ascribe power to God,
whose majesty is over Israel;
and whose power is in the skies.
Awesome is God in his sanctuary,
the God of Israel;
he gives power and strength to his people.
Blessed
be God!
Psalm
86:15
But
you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow
to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Psalm
89:1-2
I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord,
forever;
with my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all
generations.
I declare that your steadfast love is established forever;
your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.
Psalm
89:5-8, 14
Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,
your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones.
For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord,
a God feared in the council of the holy ones,
great and awesome above all that are around him?
O Lord God of
hosts,
who is as mighty as you, O Lord?
Your faithfulness surrounds you.
Psalm 89:14 Righteousness
and justice are the foundation of your throne;
steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Praise
God for What God Has Done
Psalm
148 (Creator)
Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord
from the heavens;
praise him in the heights!
Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his host!
Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars!
Praise him, you highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for he commanded and they were created.
He established them forever and ever;
he fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed.
Praise the Lord
from the earth,
you sea monsters and all deeps,
fire and hail, snow and frost,
stormy wind fulfilling his command!
Mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars!
Wild animals and all cattle,
creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and women alike,
old and young together!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his glory is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for his people,
praise for all his faithful,
for the people of Israel who are close to him.
Praise the Lord!
John
3:16
For God so loved the
world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish but may have eternal life.
Gal.
1:3-5 (Set Us Free Through Christ Jesus)
Grace to you and
peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself
for our sins to set us free from the present evil age, according to
the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory forever and ever.
Amen.
Ephesians
1:3-4 (Every Spiritual Blessing)
Blessed be the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with
every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us
in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless
before him in love.
1Cor.
15:57 (Victory From God Through Christ Jesus)
But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2
Corinthians 9:15 (Paul Refers to God’s Gift of Grace in Christ Jesus
& Writes,)
“Thanks be to God
for his indescribable gift!”
Praise
God for What God Is Doing
Psa
103:1-5, 8-13 (Redeems and Forgives)
Bless the Lord, O
my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O
my soul,
and do not forget all his benefits—
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the Pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good as long as you live
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord is
merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and
abounding in steadfast love.
He will not always
accuse,
nor will he keep his
anger forever.
He does not deal with us
according to our sins,
nor repay us according to
our iniquities.
For as the heavens are
high above the earth,
so great is his steadfast
love toward those who fear him;
as far as the east is
from the west,
so far he removes our
transgressions from us.
As a father has
compassion for his children,
so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.
For he knows how we were
made;
he remembers that we are
dust.
1
John 1:7
. . . if we walk in
the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one
another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
